May 2019 Update

Hi everyone, just a quick update of what I’ve been working on here at Hello Music Theory over the last month.

ABRSM Theory Exams

The ABRSM summer theory exams are fast approaching. As always if you’re struggling with a certain topic and don’t quite understand something let me know!

I love teaching and explaining music theory so am happy to help you get to grips with anything. Just email me.

If you’re looking for some music theory exam practice papers or music worksheets to revise with you can download them from those links too.

Writing guides for the blog

I’ve been focussing on getting the number of free guides on the learn music theory page up a lot more recently.

Over the last month I’ve added posts on:

I’ve been trying to make them as simple and as complete as possible going into as much detail as I can about each subject.

If you have any questions about any of the topics or spotted something that I’ve missed or not explained very well just leave a comment and I’ll take a look.

I’d still recommend using my study guides as these are more of a step by step walkthrough. They don’t go into any more detail than you need for that grade so it’s not as overwhelming!

What’s next?

Over may I’ll be adding a few more posts on the blog covering things like the instruments of the orchestra, tempo, chromatic scales and some other things too.

If you have any requests of topics you’d like me to cover let me know!

I’ll also be working on my grade 3 study guide which hopefully will be done!
