April 2019 Update

The clocks went forward yesterday here in the UK which means Summer is officially on its way!

Just a quick update of what’s new on the site over the last month.

Time Signatures Guide

Learning the difference between the different types of time signatures can be tricky.

Duple, triple, simple, compound.

It all gets a bit confusing.

To help, I’ve been updating my Beginner’s Guide to Time Signatures post.

I’m still working on it but thought I’d share it with you now anyway.

I’ve also put together these Time Signature Charts that will hopefully be useful for you or your students to remember the difference between them all.

Video Course and Grade 3 Study Guide

I was hoping to have it finished by now but sadly I’ve still got some more videos to film of my grade 1 video course.

I’ll release some free videos from it soon. Watch this space!

Last month I released my grade 2 music theory study guide and now I’ve started writing grade 3. I should have it finished in the next month or two depending on how much time I get to write.

What should I write about next?

I’ve been giving a lot of time to add more free lessons on the learn music theory page but I’m looking for more ideas of what things people are struggling with to write more posts about.

Send me an email if you have an ideas of topics or questions to cover.

I’ll be in touch again next month with some more updates.
